Abstract:

In a multicultural society such as New Zealand education should encourage people to become aware of, and challenge their beliefs and values.  Included amongst the goals of multicultural education should be the development of an ability to think objectively about the effects of culture on relationships, and devel0opment of feelings, values, attitudes and sensitivities necessary for living within such a society.
