Introduction
“He was a person just like you and me and he was my friend.” (Asimov, 1995, p. 175).
The introduction of robotic technology resulted from a fundamental reassessment of work processes on a scale rivalled only by the industrial revolution. Fifty seven years after science fiction writer Isaac Asimov penned his first robot story, many employees in both industrial and service sectors depend on robots when performing work functions.
