Primary Health Care for Women in Waitara 

Two health awareness days were arranged for the women of Waitara to give them the opportunity to have a cervical smear taken and to discuss any other related topics.  The first day was held on the Owae Marae immediately preceding the Hui Wahine.  The following week the Public Health Nurse’s Clinic was used.  One hundred and seven women came and talked during these two days in June 1988.
