Abstract:

Introduction

This paper describes a small rural town in Western Manawatu.  The people of Rongotea and surrounding districts are proud of their achievements in forming the Rongotea Community Centre Incorporated Society,  The Centre is an unique and excellent example of a Primary Health Care Service.  Health care has been brought into line with local needs and priorities as the decisions have been made based on continuing dialogue between the people and the service.
